Who we are

outbidlocally is a local leaderboard product. Businesses list free on city × category boards and may pay to outbid for higher visibility. This policy explains what we collect when you browse, list, bid, or contact us.

Information we collect

• Account & contact details — name, email, and optional phone when you list or create an account.
• Listing content — business name, website, description, services, areas served, city, and category.
• Bids & payments — amounts, currency (USD/EUR), timestamps, and payment status. Card numbers and CVV are processed by our payment provider; we do not store raw card data.
• Usage signals — page views, outbound click counts, referrer, and coarse device/browser data used to run rankings and improve the product. Where IP addresses are logged for abuse prevention, we prefer hashed or shortened forms.
• Support messages — whatever you send when you email us.

How we use it

• Publish and rank listings on the correct city and category board
• Process bids, confirm payments, and show verified totals
• Prevent fraud, spam, duplicate boards, and abuse
• Answer support requests and send transactional emails
• Understand product performance (aggregate analytics)

We do not sell your personal information. Paid board position is a placement product — not a sale of your private data.

Sharing & processors

We share data only with services needed to run outbidlocally: hosting, database, email delivery, and payment processing. Public listing fields (business name, website, city, category, bid total) are shown on the site by design.

Retention

We keep listing and payment records while they are needed for the boards, accounting, dispute handling, and legal obligations. You may ask us to delete an account or listing where we are not required to retain it.

Your choices

• Update listing details from your dashboard or by contacting us
• Request access, correction, or deletion of personal data
• UK/EU users may have additional rights under applicable privacy law; contact us to exercise them
